Cancer squared and divorce have taken them
One by one -- I'm the fatherless son
Yes, that's what I have become -- one of the million
Who walk this earth, and raise there own
By books and intuition -- I haven't had an education

To be the perfect father of which I dreamed
Chance after chance -- I have made mistakes
